DH won't be home from work for a while yet, but already I have:

Put the plates on the table (with napkins)

I have also put DH's wine on the table (which I will open shortly so it can breathe) and a glass.

The condiments are also already on the table.

The centerpiece is ... our favourite take-away menu!

I think I deserve a glass of now :)

It depends if it is red or white wine obv if this is true

Are his slippers ready and do you have a bow in your hair?

I havn't had time to put his slippers out yet or put a bow in my hair as I've been slaving over a draw trying to find the menu.

My OH is lucky when he gets some paper towel for his fingers when I hand him his pizza in the box!

I'll bet £100 that most DHs out there would probably secretely prefer a takeaway to a home cooked gourmet extravaganza

Nudity should be saved for after the meal IMO, so as not to distract the gentleman and prevent unslightly, curry-splashed pubes.

You're a bloody sight better than me. DH is on his way home after 6 weeks away. I'm sitting at the laptop with a after having done only the bare minimum amount of housework because the kids and I were pissing about at a watersports club all day instead of turning the house into a haven of domestic bliss.
As he arrives in the wee small hours I'm counting on him sleeping in so I can catch up with all that I should have done today.

I will also greet him in my "comfy nightie" not my sexy one.

Don't forget, when you are talking about your days, his problems are more important than yours and act a little gay.
