More a WWYD, mess from next door's builders

My NDN has some builders in, no idea what they are doing, but they are drilling the brick wall and a huge amount of brick dust is flying over onto the roof of our lean to/conservatory, it's nearly opaque in places, looks like a mudslide. It's not a very big roof, but it's very tall and I'd have trouble getting up there to clean it myself (he's on a scaffold).
I'm not really sure whether I should go out there and remind him to clear it up, or whether that would be really off as he may well be planning to do it regardless. If I wait until he is finished though, he may go home, job done and my elderly neighbour is no more getting up a ladder to clean it than I am (pregnant and wobbly).

WWYD?

Get the hose on it!

Or take a note of who it is, so after he's left if he's not cleared up you can contact him.

When you say "it" do you mean the conservatory or the builder Wink

something along the lines of "hiya, just wanted to let you know that I've left the gate open for you in case you need access to my side to clear all that brick dust off my conservatory. Give me a knock when you're doing it and I'll make you a cuppa."

Makes it damn near impossible for him not to do it. Grin

Call out to him, 'let me know when you'll be round here to clean off my roof and I'll get the kettle on'

Brilliant, MNetters are sagely indeed.

I would go over there and mention it, maybe in a semi-apologetic way, as in, "I don't know if you've noticed, but..." Better to draw their attention to it than risk them ignoring it because it's next door and they "didn't notice".
