To be annoyed TESCo

So I was chosen to do the tesco trail thing! Great I thought!! £50!!!!! Oh No.

Delivery due here between 6-8pm. Not turned up. No call nothing so I rang customer care. At first was told sat nav on van was broke and driver had gone back to store and would be here soon before the lady hung up on me. I rang back to be told that no delivery tonight and if I wanted my shopping I could go to store and collect......and my DCs?????

So no alternative time has been given. No refund was suggested. They have my shopping and my money and I have no clue when I will get either back?????

Never trust Tesco. They're a bunch of sharks Hmm

Bonkerz · 07/02/2012 21:09

I really don't want to waste my money ringing them again but they have my
Money and my shopping and I have no idea what to do.

Phone back and ask for refund or delivery another day?
Very annoying.

KittyFane · 07/02/2012 21:11

Isn't it a free call? Not sure but I think it is.

Glittertwins · 07/02/2012 21:11

Kick up a fuss, stand your ground and insist on some vouchers as well. You can get the landline no off saynoto0870.com so you can use free minutes and not get fleeced a second time paying for an 0845 number.

MissBerta · 07/02/2012 21:13

Surely you'll be first drop tomorrow, won't you? That would make sense, they'll be putting your shopping back on the shelves otherwise so much easier all round to just deliver the bloody order!

The money has gone! It was dispatched for delivery and sat in a van for two hours but not delivered.

Apparently the manager of store will ring me in the morning.

Do you tweet OP?

If you don't get a call in the morning, Could be worth tweeting #tesco saying you had taken part in the MN test and they have failed spectcularly.- the fact they can't even deliver to someone taking part in a feedback thread is too true to form funny

Bonkerz · 07/02/2012 21:56

Already tweeted lol

Standedbear, the money is taken once the last item on the list is picked. (I don't work for Tesco though.)

Hope you get this sorted this morning - I'm sure the manager will be bending over backwards, how embarrassing for him, wouldn't wanna be at his next Managers' Meeting!

tee2072 · 08/02/2012 07:03

This is why I stopped using them for so long. I've only recently gone back.

Their sat navs are always broken, the drivers never answer their mobiles and no, they can't reschedule their delivery.

Did you post this on the MN Testers Feedback thread?

Bonkerz · 08/02/2012 08:12

So last night I locked up and went to bed very stressed out. At just after 10:15 I got woken by the doorbell and it was tesco with my order. So that's it. No apologies nothing. SadAngry

Bit unlucky for Tesco you just happen to be doing a test shop on them really!

startwig1982 · 08/02/2012 08:27

I wrote to Tesco last year to tell them how crap I thought their local store was (I'm not a regular). A nice man sent me a lovely personalised letter and £15 giftcard. Sadly that means that I have to go back there to spend it.... Confused

Bonkerz · 08/02/2012 10:33

Update call received this morning after emailing head of marketing last night. Lovely exec man apologised and empathised which was all I wanted! There was a fault at store level which caused all the problems (no surprise really as this store is rubbish) but he has sent me another £20 off which expires in three months so I may do another shop but not just yet!!
