who can not seem to organise themselves but think other people will drop things to help them, pick up their mistakes, put them out to help them all the freaking time?

You just described my boss Grin

chipsplease · 07/02/2012 13:16

a school mum who seems to think that she is far far to important to put herself out to read the newsletter or emails or texts the school send us all, so misses deadlines for EVERYTHING and then expects other people to sort it for her.
the neighbour who gets specified deliverys on days he knows he wont be in and when he knocks on my door at 8am to ask me to take in a delivery for him that day gets moany when i say i wont be in all day.

I just get fed up with people.

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 07/02/2012 13:18

Well that is because mugs agree to help them out in the first place. If people said no to unreasonable demands then it wouldnt happen would it!

TheBluehoneyDragon · 07/02/2012 13:19

Im particularly fed up of dh's who phone when I am out and ask what I'm doing because they have a very important package being delivered Angry

chipsplease · 07/02/2012 13:20

its the look of horror when you say no tho. a totaly shock that someone might have plans that wont fit in with what they have or havent arranged.
neighbour for instance this morning when i said ''well if the delivery comes when im home of course ill sign, but if im out you're out of luck'' actually said ''but i really need the package today''...like its my fault you nobber.

What FolkGirl said.

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 07/02/2012 13:22

To whoch you should have replied that if she/he really needed that package he/she could wait in for it then!

In the words of the Kids from Grange Hill "Just Say No" :)

Haziedoll · 07/02/2012 13:23

Your neighbour sounds a complete pita!

TheVermiciousKnid · 07/02/2012 13:23

chipsplease · 07/02/2012 13:23

chipsplease · 07/02/2012 13:27

My mother is another one.
I say to her do you want to come over on saturday for lunch? She says oh im not sure ill get back to you thursaday. fair enough, thursday, and friday go by i hear nothing so i call and leave a message on her house phone to ask her to call me and i text her aswell, still i hear nothing. saturday i go out and i get a call off her saying where are you im at your house. Did she really think i would wait in all day for her to possibly turn up when she didnt bother to give me a call back to let me know?

We are getting rid of the desk in the spare room to make some space and DP's friend says he wants it, ok no problem, first he says he will collect on thursday but then got stuck at work, fair enough can't be helped, so says he will collect sunday then didn't turn up, get a text yesterday saying will collect tonight or tomorrow, because we obviously have no life and can wait in until he decideds to turn up Angry

I can't stand people who think their time is more important than others!

As for your neighbour Shock cheeky git!

chipsplease · 07/02/2012 13:59

YANBU, I don't like people like this either. I am the only one in our part of our road that is in all day. One day my next door neighbour came round saying he had been expecting a parcel that day but that I hadn't been in to take delivery!!?? I said, no I've been out, and he said could i let him know a day when I would commit to being in all day because he wanted to reschedule. I said that I am in most parts of most days but wouldn't guarantee a day and he got the hump!

Also one friend always forgets to go to the school office to book parents' evening appointments and then texts me and asks me to do it. I always refuse now.
