To keep dd off at the moment

Raised temp in the night completely blocked with cold, although perky during the day still what I would call very unwell.

She had 2 weeks off last term which included a hospitalisation. I am feeling bad about all this time off.
I think many mums would send their child in anyway esp at her school. What do you think?

if you think she is unwell keep her off.

I think you should think of her, she'd be struggling at school if she was feeling ill and keep her off.

Rosa · 07/02/2012 09:08

Keep her at home until you feel she is fit to attend a full day at school.

Hassled · 07/02/2012 09:11

If it were just a bog standard cold I'd say send her in. But the temperature thing and the fact that she's obviously been very unwell relatively recently makes me think a day home won't hurt.

I didnt word my post very well, I didn't mean you weren't thinking of her, of course you were thinking of her education, but I mean I think she will suffer if sent in so could do with a day off, and then will probably recover more quickly

countessbabycham · 07/02/2012 09:15

I think she'll do better to have a rest.

Mishy1234 · 07/02/2012 09:17

I would keep her off. These things can easily escalate if they aren't given time to recover. Let her have a day at home and see how she is tomorrow.

Thank you lovely ladies :)
I just feel bad with her missing so much but what can you do in this awful weather when they would have to go out at break... Sigh just hope this passes
