Eye liner from corners of both eyes to make him "look Chinese" for Chinese new year.

I think I feel a bit [puzzled] by this...

Any thoughts?

Oh dear.

epic fail for the cultural awareness link person! epic fail.

My DSs nursery painted dragons and did the red envelope thing

WorraLiberty · 06/02/2012 16:54

I'm surprised

Not only because it's weird to do that to the kids but because they might be allergic to eyeliner.

Yes, Chinese people do tend to have a different shape eye to Brits but why they couldn't just discuss that without the eyeliner is beyond me.

fullofregrets · 06/02/2012 16:55

Sorry, it isn't very P.C. of me but that made me laugh! I could just picture it!
I think it made me laugh because it ie so awful!

TheParanoidAndroid · 06/02/2012 16:59

And wasn't that like 2 weeks ago anyway?

Geordieminx · 06/02/2012 17:00

I will openly admit I'm not the most pc person at times Blush

But I just found it bizarre?

I have been trying to do that with eyeliner for 30 years and never managed to get it right... Confused

MrsTwinks · 06/02/2012 17:01

on top of everything else isn't sharing eyeliner an eye infection risk too? unless that brought 30 of the things.

Someone at nursery obviously didnt think this thing through I think..

WorraLiberty · 06/02/2012 17:03

Good point MrsT

How did they manage to get 30 or so eyeliners?

I mean given the fact conjunctivitis is normally rampant in schools anyway.

catgirl1976 · 06/02/2012 17:53

Do you think they might black him up on MLK day?

It's the thin end of the wedge.

I am sort of horrified and sort of laughing in a so wrong its almost funny way.

Big fat diversity fail from that teacher :)

Geordieminx · 06/02/2012 18:03

Funnily enough they didn't come home with tattoes and stab wounds for Rabbie Burns day..Grin
