to think sky should provide the equipment?

As part of my terms and conditions I'm ment to have my box connected to the phoneline for a year but they haven't provided me with a splitter or line. I have to call an 0844 number to order them costing me more money.

YABU splitter costs a quid in the pound shop

Just buy one. They're really, really cheap. Cheaper than a call to Sky.

I dont know anyone who actually takes any notice of it. Do you have a multi-room system though?

I've found that Sky installers/maintenance teams will check so we've complied. Splitters are only 99p on Ebay (free postage) so cheaper than getting Sky to sell you one.

don't plug it in, and IF they ever notice say im sorry I assumed your installer had fitted a splitter. Simple.

I never used to be bothered, It does dial out for certain things thou (like box office) so I would switch over for that but otherwise never did.

I will look on eBay thanks for the tip. It just seems mad to me, if you want your customers to do something then provide the equipment for them to do so

Just got rid of them finally - no more paying out for the rubbish they offer.

My nan disconnected hers about 10 years ago, noone has ever told her off for it
