on this weeks Mumsnet Recipe of the week?

"Seasonal neon pink sticks" to describe rhubarb???

Since when were they neon? And it sits wrong...it scans badly...
"Roast rhubarb and apple crumble is a great use of the seasonal neon pink sticks"

Angry

It annoys me every time I see it! The recipe sounds lovely...but someone should have thought about that description "neon pink sticks"

Yeah but it's girl's food and therefore should be described that way.

If it wasn't for that, I might have fed rhubarb to my boys and turned them gay.

Neon pink sticks.... it's clearly an ex-raver mum isn't it?

WorraLiberty · 05/02/2012 23:52

Lol I've just seen it!

"Recipe of the week
It's forced rhubarb time. Mummyof2boys' roast rhubarb and apple crumble is a great use of the seasonal neon pink sticks and perfect for warming you up on a freezing cold night."

I can't help thinking a neon pink Rampant Rabbit would do the trick better than a rhubarb and apple crumble.

Although 'forced rhubarb' has its own connotations Shock

McHappyPants2012 · 05/02/2012 23:53

neon pink stick...now my son whould go for rhubarb if it was described like that :)
