Why does she irritate me so much well... just had the misfortune to watch her new video, she doesn't pronounce words correctly, shes trying to say love but actually mouths the word looooooeeeee, apart from that she smiles way too much and i think is more interested in smiling than actually singing. you only have to listen to her songs to see what i mean shes literally too busy smiling to spit out the right pronunciation

oh and when she sings live she put the microphone right up to her gob so its impossible to
a, understand a word shes saying
b, and see her smiley teeth that shes obviously so proud of and finally
c, watch her with a straight face cos you just know she'll end up with lipstick all over her face from doing it!

God yes, I do really love the song but the video is just so annoying - far too smiley and far too in love with herself!!

Also hate the way she says 'button' without pronouncing the tt's in the middle!

Well YANBU because she's annoying in general.

But YABU utterly annoying to be so pendatic about her pronunciation.

My singing coach (not a stealth boast, I'm shoite) used to be an utter pendant. Yet, the one time we students heard her sing we were absolutely rolling about the floor laughing at her correct punctuation... it just was not rock and roll, it wasn't even pleasant. It was like Mary Poppins does Jodi Mitchel. Argh.

Give me Pixie anyday.

Oh no i dont expect her to sound like a mary poppins highbrid, but just be able to sing without worrying about how many teeth shes showing at any one time would be a good start to improving it, whoever told her she is amazing needs help

Yanbu in any way even about her pronunciation. I hate the way she doesn't say love properly also. My other problem are the lyrics 'plug me in..give me all your power' bleurgh.

I should say I am not a fan of allo the vocal acrobatics of modern pop stars, or the 'uh-uh' sound when they haven't got enough lung power to finish the freaking note (Even Adele! shoot me now - but she was a smoking natural and never had a long shelf life) I don't like many of the fanny-first-voice-second performers, and even HATE those what can sing for dumbing down to drearsville (Florence is an exceptional exception)

However. Meh. I'm oldish by their standards and would certainly come under the 'old dawg' page in Heat... Pixie sings 'alright'... there's far more amusing people to pick on, she at least isn't completely talentless.

(and oh okay, maybe her style is annoying)

Therefore YANBU, and I'm being picky.

I find the way she practically has to have her bum hanging out of her skirts worse than her singing!!!
