I have just applyed for tickets to see the filming of his show,DW says she will not come with me if I get them
In these hard times a free day out is not to be sniffed at and I might get my mug on the telly

I will pay you one million pounds if you leap on stage and beat him to death.

squeakytoy · 31/01/2012 20:11

they do pan cameras round the baying crowd audience you know!!!

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDoom · 31/01/2012 20:13

OOO Roger! Please will you answer a burning question for me when you get back? My sister was once in the audience for Sally-Jesse thing in America, and apparently they hold up big cards telling the audience what emotion/reaction to have at the appropriate moment. Can you let me know if they do the same on JK? Grin (Sad I know, but I've often wondered...)

catgirl1976 · 31/01/2012 20:15

It's exploitative and hideous - I don't blame your DW

Can you not find a nicer free day out? YANBU to go if you like it but your DW is clearly much more sensible :)

Ifancyashandy · 31/01/2012 20:19

Sorry to disappoint PomBear but they don't.

I've not been to see it but I do know people who work on it and I'm keeping that secret from that there other thread

WillCrossThatBridge · 31/01/2012 20:19

Oh golly gosh.
I think you are very brave to expose yourself to the following:

  • the wrath of mumsnet at condoning JK by applying for tickets and thus contributing to demand for him/his programme
  • possibly being seen on tv in relation to him
  • possibly coming into contact with people on the show - I am not sure that his "guests" are not contagious
mrsmaltesers · 31/01/2012 21:26

I went to see Montel being filmed and it was truck loads of wimmin in t'audience with packed lunches who were basically just keeping off the streets.

Have never seen a packed lunch on kyle though. Perhaps the audience's hooves can't pick up their sandwiches. Miaow.

theincredibequeenofwands · 31/01/2012 21:31

Nah, you'd need antibiotics after sitting in that studio.

Could you not take your wife to the zoo? Very similiar, just without the dangerous animals!

We can see you ifancyashandy Grin

And we could do with your expert opinion tbh.

ouryve · 31/01/2012 21:37

Surely there's more things than that to go see being recorded. Just a minute? Question Time? Countdown?

Anything but Jeremy Vile.

JambalayaCodfishPie · 31/01/2012 21:37

I've seen JK being filmed, it was actually a fun day, in a wierd way. My friend worked on it though so we were backstage etc. Didn't meet him though!

No placards, but JK staff starting off the clapping, or the booing, and then the audience join in.

BanditoShipman · 31/01/2012 21:48

Can I come with you? I can offer you 'spesshul cuddles under a duvet' if thats any help?? Wink

aldiwhore · 31/01/2012 21:51

shudder

I am with your DW...

Worse than those who appear are those that watch.

(I honestly do believe that if you ignore somethings, they will just go away)

xxmush1983xx · 31/01/2012 21:54

I'll come with you!!!! My DP refuses to take me lol.

I'm sorry, I'm addicted to it, it's my only vice!

BanditoShipman · 31/01/2012 22:06

I watch and flick my bean at the same time. Beat that Grin

Wink
catgirl1976 · 31/01/2012 22:09

I watch, flicking my bean in full view of my cats and directly in front of a potrait of the queen mum

GirlWithPointyShoes · 31/01/2012 22:30

ME TOO! :o

MateyMooo · 31/01/2012 22:54

my friend was in the audience in November and she said it was great.

I hate him though and i wouldnt go

she said that before the filming starts the audience get told to 'try not to react because although some of the things sound outrageous these are real people with real feelings'
