To wish people would stop phoning me

I know they are only concerned but it's driving me mad. My Mum fell on thursday and is in hospital waiting to have her arm pinned to fix the break. She knew she was on the list today. She didn't go down to theatre til about 4.30pm and since about 5pm people have been phoning almost constantly to see whether I know how she is. I've promised to call/text/post on facebook when I know something.
Wish they would leave me alone - particularly when it's a number as I don't recognise as I keep thinking it might be the hospital phoning me.

Well I've never had a AIBU thread not commented on before.

YANBU however they are only concerned. Nonetheless tis annoying after such a short period of time. So on the whole maybe a tiny bit U.

Just put your phone on answerphone. I feel terrible if my phone actually rings and I ignore it (and for some reason think I should answer immediately!) but not so bad if it goes straight to message.
