Entered a competition to win a camera. Very excited when I got an email today telling me I had won but then realised that the retro looking camera is actually completely retro and need 35mm film, so isn't digital.

It's this one that I won btw.

You got something for free. Yabu.

Lulumama · 19/01/2012 19:34

I am sure that somewhere in the competition , it did say it was a film camera, and if it was retro , then it might have been expected that it was a film rather than digital.

stick it on ebay if you are that disappointed

YABU

BillyBollyBandy · 19/01/2012 19:34

LadySybilDeChocolate · 19/01/2012 19:35

YANBU

JustHecate · 19/01/2012 19:36

ebay it and use the money to get a digital camera

Choufleur · 19/01/2012 19:36

I will bung it on ebay. I didn't really read the comp small print/details. Just assumed it was digital (didn't realise that people actually wanted to buy 35mm film cameras anymore).

OP posts:
nizlopi · 19/01/2012 19:36

It really is cool - I would ebay my own grandmother, but I would keep this gem!

BadDayAtTheOrifice · 19/01/2012 19:37

YABU. You've got in for nothing! Ebay it. It is horrid though.

daenerysstormborn · 19/01/2012 19:41

some people do actually still enjoy traditional film photography. and drawing with pencils rather than a computer mouse.

we've got a collection of box brownies and 70's style polaroid cameras.

Pandemoniaa · 19/01/2012 19:42

You could take some fab black and white reportage pictures with it.

Alternatively, you could continue to complain about a camera that's cost you precisely nothing while reminding yourself to check the small print carefully next time you enter a competition.

Then ebay it.

GandTiceandaSprout · 19/01/2012 19:43

Kodak had applied for some sort of bankruptcy thing. Not many of these types of cameras are used any more.

Maybe you could hold onto it & see if the value increaes & then sell it! Grin

EduStudent · 19/01/2012 19:50

You could send it to me Wink

Seriously, they're cool cameras!

Choufleur · 19/01/2012 19:58

I'll be putting it on ebay. Make me an offer edustudent first if you like Wink
