Regarding DHs tonail habit?

My DH doesn't cut his toenails as it makes him feel "funny". Instead he picks them off while in the bath and leaves them on the sides. I have asked him nicely to not leave them there. I have collected them and left them on his desk for him to deal with. He STILL leaves them on the bath. Would it be unreasonable of me to carry out my threat and put them in his cup of tea? Or shall I just leave him?

March him back to the bathroom a few times and make him deal with them, if it doesn't sink in, yep in his tea they go.

boohoobabywho · 19/01/2012 14:28

but he'd probably ENJOY them in his tea. is he chewing on them or summat?

Shutupanddrive · 19/01/2012 14:30

That is vile! Shock

Kayano · 19/01/2012 14:31

Put them on his side of the bed and laugh as he gets stabbed

DressDownFriday · 19/01/2012 14:33

YANBU.

Mine also picks toenails but puts them in his pockets. Totally pisses me off on wash day when I check the pockets. Angry

Curtainmyself · 19/01/2012 14:33

Just leave him.

ISayHolmes · 19/01/2012 14:34

The thought of someone picking off their toenails makes me shudder. Something about the activity- the tugging at the nail and trying to peel it off. Ughh.

RightUpMyRue · 19/01/2012 14:36

YANBU. He is being revolting.

TopazMortmain · 19/01/2012 14:37

I wish I hadn't read this...

devonsmummy · 19/01/2012 14:44

Put them in his tea! Or on his pillow!
My dh picks his whilst sitting on sofa and I often find them next to his mug beside the sofa.
I put them on the coaster he uses so he can't miss them and has to deal with them.
It is indeed a disgusting habit.

MorelliOrRanger · 19/01/2012 14:46

LOL Topaz, me too.

OP your DH is being disgusting and selfish.

edwinbear · 19/01/2012 15:48

My DH cuts his toe nails maybe once every 2-3 years, but does nothing with them in between. I have often asked why he doesn't deal with his revolting hooves but he declines to enter into a discussion about them. I hadn't realised it can make men 'feel funny', thanks OP you have solved a conundrum. Maybe I shall point out my monthly bikini wax also feels a bit funny and stop having it done.

WaitingForMe · 19/01/2012 15:52

I threaten such things. It's very effective as he did once open his work bag to find yesterdays socks that he'd left on the living room floor yet again.

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 19/01/2012 15:53

Me and the dcs launch regular planned attacks to ambush to dp and hack off his talons, the grubby swine would go years without touching them otherwise

lottiegb · 19/01/2012 15:54

Urrrgggh, why did I read this, it was never going to be pleasant.

I find the whole concept of nails being picked or broken off very disgusting (mine are not thin, brittle or flaky so it wouldn't work and took me a while to understand - though surely it creates uneven, rough, sharp edges that catch on socks and toes?)

Not cleaning up after oneself is another issue and not good either. (Ever thought of leaving your used sanitary-wear lying on the edge of the bath?)

WillbeanChariot · 19/01/2012 15:54

Leave the bastard.

Bleurgh how vile.

returnvisit · 19/01/2012 18:27

Fight fire with fire. Leave something he finds revolting lying around and see how he likes it! Or make him a toenail sandwich !

Methe · 19/01/2012 18:34

My Dh does it on the sofa and leaves piles of picked nails on the arm. When I hoover down his side I can hear his nails pinging their way up the hoover tube.

NICE.

scarletforya · 19/01/2012 18:45

You asked him nicely ?

Why nicely? I would have told him NOT NICELY until he burned with shame and regret and never dared to do it again!!

It's disgusting. Rip his head off!

bumblebeader · 19/01/2012 20:08

Eww, yuck! I've read this just after finishing my dinner!

boohoobabywho · 19/01/2012 20:24

when you collect them up, put them in his clean socks or in his shoes. he'll have them stabbing him all day, and teach him to be more careful what he does with them
