to be sick to death of the nightly wrestling match?

DS1(8), DS2 (5) and DH (37) engage in a nightly play fight/wrestling match. It seems to be a necessary male ritual to be as wound up as possible by 7 o'clock at night. It drives me fucking crazy!! I've reached the point in the day where I want to start winding down and have a bit of peace and quiet.

So. From women who reside in other male dominated households-is this normal? AIBU and should I just suck it up or am I within my rights to be a grumpy bitch about it?

Oh you can be grumpy in private, but unless this is all your DH does with them, then I think it's nice .... The noise winds me up a bit too, though.

Is your dh out all day? As YOU may have reached the winding down point but he is just seeing them for the first time.

Providing he gets them into pj's etc after let them get on with it - get a cup of tea and turn the tv up.

Mine don't do wrestling so much now, but DH will decide to start an elaborate train-track design or science experiment at breakfast time, which is lovely, but also annoys me a bit

Well it is not normal in our house. Although DW occassionally complains 'I am the only woman in this house and I feel outnumbered' there is no fighting allowed.

Sigh. I can see your point. All of them. Irritates the hell out of me but I shall continue to use the tactic of pottering around in a different part of the house til the madness has ended. Thank you ladies Grin

Can we talk about Top Gear on a loop please? I do actually find it quite funny, but I object to Jeremy Clarkson being feted .....
