I have an exam tomorrow?

I'm just not tired. I get the occasional yawn but I'm stressing, hungry, alert and my mind is racing. DH keeps telling me to just sleep but I'm bipolar with fibromyalgia - it doesn't come easily.

WIBBU to stay up despite not being able to fall asleep until 10pm tomorrow night? If so, sleep tips? Anyone?

Turn the laptop off, get comfy on the sofa with a blanket and put a familiar DVD on. Lights off, lying down.

OMG, get to bed!!!! You might be awake tomorrow, but your mind won't be as clear as it should be. You need sleep!

What I do to sleep - and this sounds weird, but works for me - is to imagine the word sleep. I think of it, letter by letter, over and over again. Everytime my mind drifts off to something else I go back to it, S...L....E....E....P, visualise the letter, trace it slowly with my mind. Eventually all the other thoughts stop trying to intrude, and I get to sleep.

I'm downstairs with the spare duvet, cigarettes, a silly romcom (Friends With Benefits) in the dark.

Hopefully I'll get so tired I'll fall asleep and the kids can be my alarm when DH brings them down in the morning.

Did you like it? I'm awake and enjoying it so far.
