How nice do you need to look for the meal afterwards?

In my experience, your best bet is dark colours and lots of them!

Tight jeans, long boots, black top with some sparkles that is also a bit rock and roll, leather/denim biker style jacket. You could always take some big bling jewellery in your pocket/handbag to wear for the meal which will distract from any 'damage' that may occur during moshing in the mosh pit. And the dark colours advice is excellent.

Have a great time.

I'd just take something in a bag to be honest. You're bound to be covered in beer afterwards.

Mrswhiskerson · 16/01/2012 18:26

My dh and I are going for our anniversary so he does not mind what I wear but I really want to look good

(in case I get to meet the lead singer Wink)

It depends entirely on how hot sweaty and excitable you'll get!

squeakytoy · 16/01/2012 19:16

Last time I was in a moshpit.. about a month ago, I came out covered in water, beer and god knows what else.. you seriously cant expect to emerge from there unscathed or feeling fresh!

Most venues have a cloakroom though, so take a big shoulder bag, and have a change of tshirt, maybe shoes in that and get changed after the gig.

RuleBritannia · 16/01/2012 20:26

If you are going by car, wear what you like to the concert and change in the car at the restaurant washroom before the meal. I've been to an outdoor dirty event mud and splashes 40 miles away and changed for a party (a further 20 miles away) in a car park (not many people there so served its purpose).

YABU to ask here. There is no tumbleweed in Style and Beauty unless you post a question that's been done a million times before

troisgarcons · 16/01/2012 21:46

I find clothes appropriate in public. Grin

I wouldnt worry too much, greasers aren't renowned for their cutting edge of fashion, grooming and make up tips.

bethelbeth · 16/01/2012 21:59

Take a dry tshirt in your bag and check it into the cloakroom.

Unless you're standing at the back tapping your toes you are going to come out a dire state. Emergency makeup wipes and makeup are also recommended.

MrsTerryPratchett · 17/01/2012 01:18

Black.

TroublesomeEx · 17/01/2012 10:34

Take a change of clothes or go for the meal first.

Has been a long time since I had a proper good mosh, but I don't see how you can do that and then look respectable enough for a nice meal afterwards whatever you're wearing!! Grin

BlackCatsAndPurpleDogs · 17/01/2012 10:48

Name of band before any decision on unreasonableness is made Grin
