To be a bit fed up now?

Am babysitting for some friends for the first time. They have gone out locally to a family do and they didn't say what time they would be back but seeing as it's at a hotel, I thought they would have been back about an hour ago.

A bit fed up now because I will be up with my children early tomorrow and did not expect to still be here at this time. They haven't called or texted me.

Am I being a miserable party pooper?

Yanbu, seems quite late to me. If there was no discussion if a return time, I think I'd have expected them back by about midnight. You don't think they were planning to stay at the hotel by any chance?

Can you call or text them?

Madinitials · 08/01/2012 01:29

No, they are definitely coming home. I was thinking of texting just to ask when they would be back but I didn't want to curtail their night.

Yeah, I'd be the same, but if you have to be up for your kids in the morning, then I think it's taking the piss a bit to stay out this late without pre-arranging a return time (or at least a phone call to check if you're ok for a bit longer). And I say this as a night owl who never sleeps early!

Hope that they are ok, and that they turn up soon.

Text and ask

What time did they get home? I always say to the person, see you at 1130 or something so I get an idea of when I can clear away evidence of. Hock late, sorry meant when they wil be home!

Hock! Not the eighties any more but admittedly there may be a glass of wine. Meant CHOCOLATE! Not hock late!
