To drink my wine from a pint glass?

DH has all the tumblers upstairs by his bed (don't ask) along with the vast majority of the mugs and I'm buggered if I am going up to collect and wash them all. I can't fit enough wine into our pathetically small wine glasses and the only other thing we have is even smaller champagne flutes or a tankard.

Drink it out of the bottle so you don't have to wash up a glass. Wink

I second the bottle idea

D0oinMeCleanin · 08/01/2012 00:56

It's in a box. I could just tie a bobble around the tap thing and lay myself under the flow Grin

Wine = good.
Small glass = bad.
Do the math... Grin

Do you have a clean vase? An empty litre bottle you can pour it into? A pint glass just isn't large enough.

Fo0ffyShmo0ffer · 08/01/2012 01:02

How about line all your glasses up, fill all your glasses up and make your way along?

Or
Open the box, nick a hole in the bag and stick in a straw?

D0oinMeCleanin · 08/01/2012 01:02

I have been sensible enough to move the box from the fridge to the table next to me. A refill merely requires me to turn slightly to the right.

I like the tap idea Grin
Can you not insert extra long straw into box and drink from that? Better still also attach box to yourself like one of those handsfree water rucksack thingies

D0oinMeCleanin · 08/01/2012 01:04

Note to self: Buy extra long straws with the next shop.

Although part of a cut up hosepipe would ensure quicker wine flow

I got a lovely big wine glass for Christmas that holds a whole bottle at a time.

You are welcome to borrow it if you'd like Grin

I'm too scared to use it in case I knock it over.

pinkyp · 08/01/2012 01:09

Tap = perfect. Open mouth, tap on, repeat

D0oinMeCleanin · 08/01/2012 01:11

I used to have some of those Cumpy. Lovely purple ones from . The bastard cat knocked them off the shelf and smashed them. I wonder why I still put up with that cat, sometimes. There are ghosts upstairs annoying dd2 again and where is the ghost scaring cat? Out hunting rats, that's where!

I now know what I am asking for for my birthday. I want more wine bottle sized purple wine glasses.

We bought my mum a wine glass a few years back that holds a bottle of wine, she loves it

I have deceptive flutes. They look elegant, but you can a good half pint of wine in there and not look like a lush.
