AIBU or am I right in thinking 'Hollyoaks' is utter shite?!

Channel surfing and clicked onto 'Hollyoaks' and it's just plain weird. Watched it for 10 mins or so and it's utter crap. I used to think it was a bit fun but how is this getting a prime time slot 5 days a week?

Or am I terribly old and teens just love it?

Its awful, agree that turning into Brookside.

But gawd I love it! (secretly ).

It is aimed at teenagers. It isn't as good as it used to be, but there are still some good story lines which are good for opening up a discussion. There is another thread on here involving a transgender relative. Hollyoaks handled that very well and much better than Coronation Street, from a younger persons POV.

The HIV story line was very good, as well.

It's still on in the background and there s a character that looks like a bad piss take of a member of the Village People!

YANBU- it was always total shite from when it first came out, I cannot believe it's still going now!

Personally I think that all soaps are shite, so I wouldn't single this one out as anything better/worse than any of the others.

I love Hollyoaks and I am 31.

I do find myself thinking "I am too old to be watching this" sometimes, and it makes me sad. I will have to stop soon or I will be a 40 year-old who likes Hollayoaks and that would be Tragic.
