It's been on every night for hours.
Am I being unreasonable to be fed up of it and want DD2 to turn it off!

There are other channels or you could turn it off and tell her to read a book?

Pagwatch · 06/01/2012 17:19

It's shit. Awful annoying shit. My dd isn't allowed it on when I am in the room.

lagrandissima · 06/01/2012 17:20

No YANBU. Hate, hate, hate that programme. Have 2 males, who also loathe it. Lazy programming from the BBC, shame on them.

CatPower · 06/01/2012 17:20

I cannot stand the smug wee bisom.

lesley33 · 06/01/2012 17:22

My DD wanted to live in a children's home! I tried to tell her it wouldn't be like on the tele. But she wouldn't believe me.

Mandy2003 · 06/01/2012 17:22

On and on and on and on...

Tracey Beaker
The Story of Tracey Beaker
Tracey Beaker Returns
Dannii's House

Aaaaargh!!!!!!!! Angry

cheesesarnie · 06/01/2012 17:23

yabu!i love it!i cry most days at it!dc arent interested!

imoanruby · 06/01/2012 17:23

YANBU! Mine are watching it now....every episode looks the bloody same to me...awful annoying children!

lostlady · 06/01/2012 17:23

YADNBU. I've had to ban it, as hard the jolly picture of children in care plus dd then acts all histrionic and blames it on some supposed deep seated trouble which means that she is not actually being a nightmare but is Troubled. Aaargh!

southeastastra · 06/01/2012 17:24

er it's for kids and if they like it what's the problem?

lostlady · 06/01/2012 17:24

"as hate", not "as hard"

Feminine · 06/01/2012 17:26

Its still on?

Thought it would be done by now.

Pagwatch · 06/01/2012 17:27

It's going to go on forever. The annoying mare in the lead role will be doing Tracy Beaker : the retirement years.

slalomsuki · 06/01/2012 17:32

Me too. It's on in my house as we speak and I can't stand the shrieking and the shouting in it.

I am sure it has a lot to answer for.

startail · 06/01/2012 17:44

I glad it's not just me.
DDs like to chill after school. I don't mind that. But I just wish the BBC would provide some variety (only freebies here) and make some new, different programs.
Unfortunately after a week of bloody TB, I can't even tell her to go and play because I've got the Christmas boxes on her bed.

FreeviewBlush
Fortunately I'll be so old and senile by the time Tracy B is retirement age I won't care.

I hated it as well, asked dd to turn it over if I was in the room. I just loathed it.

The phase will soon pass, and she will watch something else avidly

boaty · 06/01/2012 18:09

Didn't like this when DC were younger, fortunately DD wasn't too bothered would watch if it was on but not if anything better was on offer. DH grew up 'in care' so any fantasies were easy to dispel. Channel hopping the other day boredyouunderstandafterallkidsallyoungadultsnow Blushwas an episode in which small boy wants red trainers told too expensive and bought cheaper one, locks staff member out of van, keys inside, then, when another staff member arrives with more keys does the same again throwing trainers out of window, then arrives back at home with the trainers he wanted...WTF! Although TB in a home for the bewildered in life might prove entertaining! Aimed at adults. Grin

iklboo · 06/01/2012 18:21

BBC/CBBC should just show wall to wall Horrible Histories so I can perv DS can learn interesting stuff.

Feminine · 06/01/2012 18:21

So its the same actress then?

Surely she must look a little silly in the role?

Grin @ pag

Sparklingbrook · 06/01/2012 18:28

I saw her driving in an episode today. Shock I really don't understand what's going on in it most of the time.

mycatsaysach · 06/01/2012 18:30

my dcs were both having a sneaky look tonight at new ep - they are 17 and 14 Grin

SandStorm · 06/01/2012 18:32

Fem - she's returned as a care worker now. Can you tell we've had this on in our house a lot recently too? Although I think DD1 only watches it because some of the lads are 'well fit' apparently.

Sparklingbrook · 06/01/2012 18:32

My two like The Disney Channel with delights such as 'Suite Life on Deck', Good Luck Charlie, So Random and other shite. One big american blare coming out of the TV. Angry

aldiwhore · 06/01/2012 18:34

I don't mind the whole Beaker/Dani thing, once or twice a day, but even my son who adores TB and wants to marry her is sick of there being nothing else on at certain times.

New shows needed.
