My new washing machine is coming today - anytime between 7am and 8 pm Hmm anyway, I have not had one for a week or so now. Can't wait to get all my washing done.

And suddenly have a huge desire to wash all my sofa covers etc too. Although not sure if it is because of the new washing machine of because I am on the do-lots-of-house-work-now-drug AKA predniselone.

Not slept all night (thats definetly because of meds not excitement!) and have now been up showered and cleaned the kitchen in preperation.

I didn't know there was a drug to treat domestic slatternliness! Wow! I'm making a doctor's appointment today!

Buy YANBU anyway. Even this domestic slattern would be quivering with anticipation if she had had to go a week without a washing machine. (Unless I was on holiday somewhere delicious, of course Grin).

Ooh can I have some? The house could do with a good clean...seriously, hope you are ok and you get some sleep tonight.

Get me on the pred! No seriously when my DH was on dexamethasone was the only time the house was spotless and DIY jobs got done without nagging Grin

Yes you can all have some I have hundreds of tablets. Problem is they make you fat, give you a swollen face and make you grow hair if you are on them too long Hmm

Oh and after a few days of manicness you can feel sort of in a zombie trance and like you need to be shot with a tranqulizer dart to me MADE to sit still.

So, did the machine arrive?

Sirzy · 07/01/2012 08:12

Hmm all the time Ds has spent on pred and dexmethasone he has never started cleaning up. I feel robbed, he may only be 2 but that's irrelevant!

I would be the same with a new washer, especially after a week without one.

Of course YANBU. DD made a garland to go round ours when it was delivered.
Four weeks without one (and no laundry within walking distance) ensured ours was treated like a Queen.
