I don't know what's wrong with me. I have such a mix of feelings going on (mostly sad). This week DH has gone back to work and today DS is back to school. Next week DD might be starting nursery for the first time.Sad

I feel sad that I will be all alone and miss them.

I sort of feel a little happy to have the house back to myself without everyone here making noise and mess.Confused

Does Anyone else feel like this?

or AIBU?

YABU to think that life should be a holiday without end of course.

But I feel the same. I am singing Christmas tunes whilst taking down the decorations, and there's yet another Christmas movie on. My DH returned to work today, the kids go back to school tomorrow.

On one hand I can't wait for normality and less indulgence, on the other, I've had the best and longest Christmas in years and don't want it to end. But it has to, otherwise I can't start planning the next one! x

YANBU in my world.

I can sort of understand Wink. I couldn't wait to get the decorations down and get some kind if routine back with dc back at school/nursery but now all that's happened I do feel kind of fed up and depressed. But it's really partly because it's so cold and miserable with about 2 hours of daylight (it seems!) each day! If Christmas was in Summer time, do you reckon you'd be having all these doubts? I doubt it Grin! Try and look at it as a positive new phase in your life and plan some child-free activities. It's a GOOD thing, it really is!

I'm really enjoying it Grin.

I love getting back into the swing of normalilty after Christmas is over. I love Christmas but it has its place and it's good to get back into work mode again, get things sorted and back into routine.

But I still wouldn't say YABU. Each to their own Grin.

peggotty I think you are right about the weather. It could be a case of the "January Blues" that we are having.

I also enjoy getting back to normal, but I was ever so excited last night to discover that DD's school has an INSET day today so she is, in fact, going back tomorrow and not today and that I've still got one of my babies at home with me for an extra day!!!
