It was on christmas day, when the whole family were having dinner. Both sets of parents, aunts, uncles in-laws etc.

My daughter who's nearly 7, anounced " I think I heard Father Christmas last night". Oh, said my MIL, did you hear the bells on his sleigh? "No", my daughter replied. "It sounded like he was bouncing on the bed". She then went on to immatate the noises she heard, (quite loudly) Blush

I said to her "that might have been me trying to mend our squeeky headboard". Then quicky changing the subject by asking her if she wanted custard with her Christmas pudding. (I felt like asking her wether she'd like to wear it instead).

Oops....reminds me of the time my niece told me that her Mum had had the baby 'on the floor in the kitchen' (which she did as didn't want to risk the bedding and there was more room to be active in the spacious kitchen) then went down on to her hands and knees to imitate her mothers posture - complete with sound effects.

fuzzpig · 02/01/2012 17:37

But how the hell did you have the energy on Christmas Eve???

mummyloveslucy · 02/01/2012 17:51

We'd got everything prepared early. Our dd went to bed at 8pm which is late for her, fast asleep by 10ish (Or so we thought)
