To think Pepa Pig is sexist

NotTheBlinkingGruffaloAgain · 31/12/2011 19:36

It's all 'look what silly daddy has done now' and Pepa is so patronising to everyone she meets, too in control for a child I think someone needs to take her down a peg or two Grin

You forgot fat.

Silly fat daddy.

Peppa is indeed a smug little shit.

dawntigga · 31/12/2011 19:45

And what's with Miss Rabbit having 6 million different jobs?

HasWatchedFarTooMuchOfThisTiggaxx

bigeyes · 31/12/2011 19:51

Oh yes pepper is smug little cow for a pig anyway!

But having watched the boxset it is cuteish n funny when daddy pig gets all DIY wrong

workshy · 31/12/2011 19:54

can't stand peppa pig -stuck up little madame!

I do however love Humf and will never cease to be amazed by the fact that the parents are red and blue, and Humf is purple!!!
mixed race monsters -you've got to love it

Glittertwins · 31/12/2011 19:56

DH calls her the "spiteful swine", aka that bloody pig!
Not only smug but a bit of a bully too.

SucksToBeMe · 31/12/2011 19:56

I can't stand Peppa Pig! She is awful and so bossy. Luckily DS loves Dora.

anonacfr · 31/12/2011 20:12

I loathe the whiny American voices on Dora though.

ClaireyFairy82 · 31/12/2011 20:17

I love Peppa Pig. I think it's hilarious. She is very bossy - but then lots of little girls are bossy. I know I was.

Daddy Pig is a bit of a plonka - but I love that he botches everything up and Mummy Pig has to ring her own dad to come and fix it. Sooo true!

Coldcuppacoffee · 31/12/2011 20:28

Daddy pig is a buffoon.

Peppa leaves teddy in the park then tells him off and everyone laughs.

And Miss Rabbit is taking the piss with all her jobs and her strainy voice.

I hate it. DS loves it.

WhiteTrash · 31/12/2011 20:30

Mrs Rabbit and Nanny Plum sound curiously similar. How many jobs DOES Mrs Rabbit have?

Bearcrumble · 31/12/2011 20:30

Peppa Pig is wonderful. I love it, especially when they go to Potato World.

Lots of dads are like that - he's not always hapless anyway, there was one episode where he said he'd been a champion swimmer or diver when he was younger and he still had it.

The actress who voices Mrs Rabbit is the same one who does Nanny on Ben and Holly isn't she?

mrsnw · 31/12/2011 20:51

I'll let you in on the secret. There are loads of aunty rabbits on Peppa Pig. They are not all Rebecca Rabbit's mummy. Hence the expression breed like rabbits {wink}. I over think Peppa Pig. Loving the new series.

slavetofilofax · 31/12/2011 20:56

Daddy Pig rocks!

I wish I still had a good excuse to watch Peppa.

NotTheBlinkingGruffaloAgain · 31/12/2011 21:35

Daddy Pig is not a buffoon- he has just surrendered to his imposed role within the family unit, soon to probably have an affair with madame Gazelle who'll relate to him like the man he really is! Grin

OP posts:
anonacfr · 31/12/2011 22:23

I reckon Daddy Pig is an animal in bed. Did anyone see 'The sleepy princess'? There was a rather kinky moment between 'King Daddy' and 'Queen Mummy'... Grin

ThatsNotSantasBabyBelly · 31/12/2011 22:25

I'll swing for Madame Gazelle and her Bingly Bongly's

AgentZigzag · 31/12/2011 22:43

And have you heard Mummy Pigs flirtatious giggling when Daddy Pig was splashing her with water at the beach anona? Shock

Disgraceful.

Although not as disgraceful as the racism between the elves and fairies in ben and holly!

Faries talking about the elves as though they're thick as pig shit, and the elves discriminating against the faries because they can do magic...

The wise old elf and grandpa pigs voices are done by the same bloke.

I think Daddy Pig always has the last laugh.

And I love Mummy Pig sitting on the computer all day (whistles innocently)

NotTheBlinkingGruffaloAgain · 31/12/2011 23:02

"Dine-sor"- doesn't quite cut the mustard does it?
George can't get a word in edge-ways with his, (destined to be an annoying jobsworthy librarian) older sister always butting in

JarethTheGoblinKing · 31/12/2011 23:05

DS hasn't watched it for ages, but saw a few episodes today. Called me silly Mummy and called DP Silly Old Daddy Pig within a few minutes. He's 4yo and knows better, so PP is banned again

I hate that Mummy Pig berates Daddy Pig so blatently for being shite with directions, to the point of ringing the ILs to gloat about it.. controlling bitch.

Wink

Mrs Rabbit thread

anonacfr · 31/12/2011 23:14

I've always been concerned at the way they throw themselves on the ground and wriggle manically at the end of each episode.
