Right.

Which secnario is U?

a/ I put my PFB on an empty carousel £2/turn and let it run with two empty seats and give daggers at another child desperate to climb on and enjy the ride?

or

b/ I do not demolish my PFB for getting on a 2/3 empty-going-round carousel that another mom has paid for?

Huh?

I'd like to know the etiquette.

Thanks.

I'd ask the other Mum if it's ok...just out of politeness.

YonderRevoltingPeasantWhoIsHe · 27/12/2011 22:06

Erm I thought this was going to be 'AIBU to play RR whilst the DC are in bed' or something.

JingleBelleDameSansMerci · 27/12/2011 22:06

Um, think I'd ask the other parent if it was ok for my child to get on and offer to pay. If I'd paid first, IYSWIM, I'd happily let the other child on and wouldn't accept payment, etc.

Hope that makes sense?

AdditionMultiplication · 27/12/2011 22:06

I thought demolish worked! Quite apt in some of these situations, ime! Grin

Tabliope · 27/12/2011 22:07

Exactly what Jinglebelle said.

ColdTurkeyRemains · 27/12/2011 22:09

See, I'm with you Jingle - if I was the mom in a/ - I'd be happy with the spare places being filled.

But I saw huffiness re both scenarios today, so I just windered.

Just wait for my turn and pay unless the other mum offered up the "free" space. I have done this, paid for a go, but offered the spare seat to another child who was looking on longingly. Share and share alike.

BlissfulMistletoe · 27/12/2011 22:10

It not the same without a gun.... Sorry couldn't resist.

It is up to you really, but other parents should expect it

Share - I let other dcs on And my dcs go on with others

festi · 27/12/2011 22:15

I would just quietly wait my turn either way, BFP may not really notice others waiting. And daggers second mum should just get over herself and patiently wait untill her dcs turn. Its no biggie IMHO. people dont always aknowledge the needs or wants of others due to own situation and those with wants or desires should just wait untill convenient to express or seek out those wants or desires.

So in other words just wait your turn quietly and patiently.

Still laughing at 'demolished'

ColdTurkeyRemains · 27/12/2011 22:19

Share here. We used to have a couple of rides in our local shopping centre that had more than one seat and more than once I've offered another child a seat when I've paid for ds1 to go on and what has sometimes happened is the other parent has paid for my dc and theirs to go one one of the other rides once they have finished on the on they are on. The dc enjoy having someone else to shriek enjoyment with as well.
Although I would bot give dagger to someone who didn't offer my dc a ride in the empty seat I would lust wait patiently and re dc were usually good at just waiting too they never took sharing someone else's turn for granted.

Ismeyes · 27/12/2011 22:26

Well, as the parent who has paid for the ride you have the upper hand. If said other desperate children who want to get on with your PFB are waiting nicely with good manners or asked nicely, I would offer them the other seats. If they ran over, jumped on and screamed 'yay, free ride', I'd give them daggers and tell them to get off and wait their turn.
