Lovely boxing day....

Just having the most lovely relaxing boxing day. Did anyone else feel Christmas day is just a huge slog? I felt trapped in the kitchen and didn't enjoy my children or my visitors company!

Next year we are going to have Christmas dinner on Christmas eve afternoon so I am not as worn out! Husband was brilliant all day but making the dinner seemed to take over all the fun.

Boxing day has been lovely, just us four, walked the dog, chilled out watching telly and had lovely lunch of nibbles and whatever we fancied.

Was everybody else knackered last night? I feel christmas day was bit of a let down tbh.

Boxing day this year has been a lovely rest inbetween 2 days of in-laws. Have done PILs yesterday afternoon (after lunch, i'm not mad) and tomorrow its the madness that is my parents. We barely got dressed today.

Oh I feel the same, and i didn't even cater for thousands yesterday. We were at my mum and dad's and it was all just too shouty and irritating by half. If it wouldn't break my kids hearts I'm very tempted to volunteer to work next christmas day. I'm at work today so it's not that great but at least I'm not being clambered on and shouted at by hyper sugar crazed kids.

Boxing day is my favourite day-I get to chill out while OH does lunch for just the two of us-no children or GCs. Xmas Grin
