To think the sales are rubbish?

Why is everything my son wants not reduced in the sales?

Certain Xbox games, fishing stuff, it's all just as expensive as it was before. I was looking forward to some bargains but it hasn't happened.

Has anyone actually found some Boxing Day bargains?

I've even stopped him buying one item and came home to price check it, I can only match it not beat it, no bargains for us. Xmas Sad

They only reduce the crap that people didn't want to buy before Christmas. I don't shop on Boxing Day, I think it's mean that the shop staff only get one day off.

cheeseandbiscuitsplease · 26/12/2011 17:04

I would honestly rather eat my own head than go to the sales!!!!

NinkyNonker · 26/12/2011 17:06

I don't bother going any more tbh. Perhaps later on, Jan time you might find more?

All I want is a Kindle/e-reader...any bargains let me know!

Panzee · 26/12/2011 17:07

Sales only exist to offload the junk they couldn't get rid of before. Twas ever thus etc etc.

sitandnatter · 26/12/2011 17:10

My son has been out shopping, I'd rather stick hot needles in my eyes than face the sales, though I did meet up with him in one shop to try to ensure he wasn't ripped off with sales crap

It's only a bargain if you actually want it and he doesn't want any of the garbage that is reduced. Sad

Plus it was pointed out to me today that they lure you in with the sales crap stuff to get you to see what's 'just come in' at full price. Angry

theincredibequeenofwands · 26/12/2011 17:16

Eeeeuuukkk, sales!

The shite that no one esle wanted....!!

Lovely!!

Xmas Confused
Sparklingbaubles · 26/12/2011 17:18

It's in the sale for a reason. Possibly because it is vile. Grin

PeaceofCakeAndGoodWineToAllMN · 26/12/2011 17:32

I'm watching the news, article about a yound man being stabbed to death outside FootLocker on Oxford Street after an argument spilled out of the shop and into the streets. Sad

tassisssss · 26/12/2011 17:40

Debenhams had some great sets of Lego half price. Good kids reductions in markies too.

lisad123 · 26/12/2011 17:42

I went into asda this morning to return some bras but found loads of knitwear reduced Grin
I also got a dyson today in sale, but not very exciting Smile

sitandnatter · 26/12/2011 18:23

You found stuff you wanted Lisa well done.

I don't think Footlocker sales were worth getting that mad over. How very very sad.

We had this thread last year, maybe every year?(!)
DD wants something that never goes on sale, anyway.

MorelliOrRanger · 26/12/2011 18:40

YANBU - utter crap.

SpannerPants · 26/12/2011 19:19

I had a look on the Next website to see if they had any sleepsuits in the next size for DS, but searching through "boywear" in his size only brought up 7 items, one being a Santa dress!

happydotcom · 26/12/2011 19:49

DH and 6m DS went to Next today..............Couldn't bear it so left empty handed after 3 mins.

Also buying a size bigger or mabe more as I'm still carrying my baby blubber is too depressing - even with 50% off.

Sparklingbaubles · 26/12/2011 19:50

I am still carrying baby blubber happy. DS2 is 9. Blush
