To think I have been rather lucky this year?

OK, back story is that I was made redundant back in April... no luck in finding a perm job despite applying for three jobs a day but I have had some temp work since then ... about three months out of eight. So my Christmas presents to my friends have been a little spare this year.

However, this morning when I opened my presents from under the tree I have realised what wonderful friends and family I have... from a vat of gin to jigsaw puzzles, smellies and chocs, wool and fabric they have all thought about something that will make me happy.

I don't think that any of them will realise just how much their thoughtfulness and kindness has meant to me this Christmas... AIBU to think I am rather lucky to have such wonderful and generous friends and family?

That is lovely. You should send them all cards with a message similar to your post

That's lovely. Having such thoughtful generous people in your life and appreciating them is fantastic. Hope you get a job soon.
