Had a fantastic day. DS has been brilliant.
No arguments, although as per usual we did get a little wound up at sheer laziness from DFiL and DSis but nothing we didn't expect if we're being honest.

Been spoilt rotten again, which was wonderful but ..... AIBU to want my house back to normal now??

I wanna put everything away properly
I wanna put my feet up for 5 mins
I really don't wanna sleep on a blow up bed again
And so on and so on....

Anyway hope everyone on here has had a wonderful Day :) :)

You are not alone Blurry. I want all the boys stuff put away in their bedrooms, and to take the tree and cards down and not have all the choc and excess food about and start my diet.

Bit longer yet.........Sad

Blow up beds are the work of the devil and for that alone yanbu.

My PIL are due to arrive tomorrow, I hate that I need to now organise everyones presents from today before they arrive... poor DD is on the blow up bed as PIL are taking her bed!

YADNBU. Blow up beds are awful. Blush

I'm trying to ignore the carnage in my sitting room. At least the kitchen is tidy Grin.

We're away for New Year so the tree is going on December 28th and I can't wait!

My cleaner is coming in on the day we get back and I will return home to a sparkling house and a new year

i am too house proud to not sit in a nice tidy home in the evening, so my house is clean and tidy....kids bedrooms moved around and no dishes to be done so op yanbu

My house is small. I have to move things around to make space for the tree. The gifts looked lovely for the last day or two around the tree. The kids sacks are small (pillow case size really) and looked sweet yesterday.

Today is carnage. They have had all Santa gifts and tree gifts, then gifts from my family. They still haven't received their gifts from my OH's side of the family and they always get lots (of usually big and bulky things) from them in a few days time.

All I really want to do is take the tree down to make space for the toys so they have space to play. I also want to get rid of the clutter that is the Christmas cards and ornaments on top of the piano and mantelpiece.

I'm going to do some discreet clutter sorting of their old toys while they are distracted by their new stuff over the next day or two and look forward to the 1st Jan when it all comes down and the house looks (comparatively) clean, tidy and uncluttered.

BlissfulMistletoe · 25/12/2011 22:54

i will be just glad not to touch the tree again, 2 year old+tree=carnage lol.
