i thought me and DH had agreed no presents as we havent really got the money to buy them, i have 3 pressies under the tree :( that he apprantly brought ages ago, luckily i also brought him a little pressie.

MilkNoSugarPlease · 25/12/2011 00:18

I am completely desperate for an Ipad...this COULD work in my favour...I doubt it mind :o

Dad buys bug presents for her every year despite any agreement...but this is quite large :o

snigger

My dad told me he wanted to buy the kids a coat each for xmas. I told him to get anything but (they already have one each what with it being winter an' all). He took them shopping then rang me to say they'd both seen coats they liked. I said absolutely not with my blessing. He bought them. He will get shitty tomoz when I don't prostrate myself at his feet in gratitude.

squeakytoy · 25/12/2011 00:26

We had carnage last year...

There will hopefully not be a repeat this year, as I had a nice early strop midweek, which gave him plenty of time to consider what his fate may be if he did the same again and got me sod all, with the excuse that he hadnt had time to go shopping... I was very passive aggressive tactical during the last few days, with comments about how shit christmas is, and how I couldnt wait for January as christmas is always just me making the effort while everyone else does feck all...

It worked, as he was up and out to the shops very early this morning, and came back with gifts all wrapped up and happy smile on his face.. :)

Thank fuck for this thread.

There's been something niggling me all night...I kept thinking I'd forgotten something and checked my lists of lists over and over again.

Then I realised, I'd forgotten to wrap DH's present

So thank you OP Xmas Blush

MilkNoSugarPlease · 25/12/2011 00:35

:o no problem

Now if someone could help me find the gloves and £150 worth of vouchers I can't find anywhere...that'd be grand!

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 25/12/2011 00:36

Well that's simple innit?

The vouchers are in the gloves

HTH Xmas Grin

I SO WISH THE LITTLE BUGGERS WOULD GO TO SLEEP ... ( utterly knackered emoticon )

MilkNoSugarPlease · 25/12/2011 01:04

Feckless, please tell me you're not in England, therefore there's a time difference!!

Still can't find the bloody gifts!

OP posts:
IceColdBitchy · 25/12/2011 01:14

At least you are only looking i am still sodding making. every flipping year i think it will be a good idea to make something. every flipping year something happens and there is a late night of not sleeping.

thankfully ds begged to go to bed tonight although as i feel asleep at the same time and am in the middle of making whilst multi-tasking on mn natch i have no idea what the state of fc treats were. I need to deal with that Will be back later no doubt.

Fecklessdizzy · 25/12/2011 01:15

Oh to be in England ... Unfortunately I am. They had gone to sleep but my sister came round on the way back from the pub and woke them up again Xmas Sad One's gone off and I have a sort of premonition that Santa's going to leave t'other ones stocking on the landing ...

recall · 25/12/2011 01:15

We had our Christmas row this morning, me and my Mum.

Our DD1 has a family nik name of DooDoo because that is what my DS2 called her when he couldn't talk properly. Every time my parents come round, my Mum says "Is it Do Do ( like the extinct bird Hmm ) that you call her ?" I snapped today, and we had a blazing row about it.

All friends again now, so hopefully that was it Grin

MilkNoSugarPlease · 25/12/2011 01:22

I tried to be all fancy and make gifts last year. Cue me running around on xmas eve buying proper gifts rather then the shit I produced Xmas Grin

Blardy hell Feckless! although apparently me and DB were just as bad as your DC on xmas eve Xmas Grin fingers crossed all is quiet soon!!

At least it's over and done with Recall :o :o

Where the HELL are these gifts?!

OP posts:
MilkNoSugarPlease · 25/12/2011 01:25
Hmm

Every single year, I wrap all the presents from my DB (Except my own...they get handed to me in the Amazon box the arrived it! :o)..NEVER does he do any wrapping

He wrapped the gloves and vouchrs and stuck them under the tree...mentioning this 2 hours ago would've been helpful boy!!

OP posts:
IceColdBitchy · 25/12/2011 01:52

Well at least you now know where they are Grin

Only another 3 fecking meters of hemming.

EduStuckUpTheChimney · 25/12/2011 01:56

Milk, are you my sister? Dads got mum an iPad, although she has got him a Kindle. Not sure how it's going to go down...

MilkNoSugarPlease · 25/12/2011 10:33

Oh dear! IPad has not gone well Xmas Grin

OP posts:
IceColdBitchy · 25/12/2011 20:17

Oh dear milk? is it a retrieveable situation?

MrsMuddyPuddles · 25/12/2011 21:00

We had a similar situation: I bought dh the phone i thought he wanted, he bought me some kitchen toys I've been wanting for about 2 years. His Embarrassment Xmas Confused meant he wasn't as expressive with gratitude as I'd imagined, which didn't go down well :o

MilkNoSugarPlease · 25/12/2011 21:43

They're talking now :o

I think it may be going back this week :o

Oh dear Muddy!! Did he show his gratitude in the end ?!:o

EduStuckUpTheChimney · 26/12/2011 10:20

Ah, the ipad went down well here, although I had to set it up which was the most stressful 15 minutes of my life delightful.
