To feel rather smug

That my house is cleaned from top to bottom, dinner prepared for tomorrow, kids are bathed in there pj watching miracle on 34th street and all I have left to do is put the gift under the tree.

Would it be too early for an iced cold glass of wine

ive already got a bottle of bud open so nope not too early. Oh and i havent done half what u have

Smugness is unattractive However, I am feeling smug that the public rooms are clean here! Clean bedding for all, too. Table set. I've had one glass of wine already. Soooo YANBU

All done here too. Veg prepped beef cooking. Turkey ready for oven in morning. House clean kids in new pJs after visit from Santa and I'm enjoying a nice archers and lemonade whilst kids watch polar express. Then it's hot chocolate an biscuits all round and bed for the menaces and then pressures can go under tree

I've been sedately walking the dogs, wrapping presents and cooking a roast, while DP has hurtled round the house cleaning all the things I never get around to- he's on his fifth attempt at the shower doors

We'll stop soon though, and curl up with the traditional It's A Wonderful Life DVD and some sparkling wine.

I've just prepped 5 saucepans of veg, cooked two trays of Yorkies and stuffing and I even did a 4 mile run this morning. However, whole house is in state of usual mayhem.

Same here blissful, house is spotless, dinner done, DC lovely and clean and watching Narnia. Will settle down with a G & T once I've called all the friends/relatives we won't see tomorrow.

Ahh, lovely isn't it?? House scrubbed here, everyone has clean fresh bedding and new pj's and in 5 mins dc going in the bath and bed and I have already had a glass of something fizzy all presents wrapped, all ironing done (nothing more until tues I say!!) and a cheesecake defrosting nicely merry christmas everyone!!!

I too am smug. However have had a very stressfull slog to get here so im comfy in my smuggery.
I have just had a glass of champagne and now feel a bt woozy (lightweight) so its a good job ts all done.

That means I've done much less cleaning than you lot with "spotless houses" so I think I win :o

Blissful, my house looks like a bomb hit it. I'm the only one in it, so not that much of a pain and I have done everything I need to, because I am a guest and not a host tomorrow.

You can feel smug after you've come round to mine and given it a thorough scrubbing. I'll PM you my address.

I have been on the buck's fizz since 9.30 am but the house is as clean as it gets, and... the fridge has been stripped down to the bare box and scrubbed within an inch of its life
DCs in pjs watching panto, tea has been served, and I am just about to make some hot chocolate because they can't wait much longer to go to bed - not sure how long they'll stay there mind you, but they're planning on going at 7...

I cooked Christmas dinner today so it's just cold meat etc for tomorrow (love not having to spend Christmas morning in the kitchen now :))

I have also cooked gammon and chipolatas for tomorrow, made a trifle, sausage rolls and mince pies. Oh and changed all the beds. Definite air of smugness about me at the moment :)

Am bloody knackered though but still have kitchen to clean, floors to wash and yet to wrap my dad's and DH's presents.

Hopefully will get to sit down after kids are in bed and neck slowly sip something alcoholic

DH tidied the house, DM looked after the children and I'm half cut on Tia Maria.

I'll put the kids to bed in an hour or so. They're watcing Megamind at the mo and I'm in no rush to move them.
