Another Facebook related one from me, sorry!

Someone I know on Facebook has just posted a picture from her phone (they're on a night out, I think) of someone passed out (maybe drunk?) on the train station platform. AIBU to think that this is pretty crappy? Surely the first thing you do if you see someone collapsed on the floor (and from the position of this person it does look like they fell down, rather than lay down) is go and check they're alright, rather than stand and take a picture and post it on Facebook for everyone to laugh at?

OP posts:

They may have checked...but no...YANBU...the trouble with iphones is that things we may not want to see will be broadcast. The general population are now journalists...for better or worse.

When you're pissed your humour can be a bit skewed.

I don't get into those kinds of situations now I'm as old as the hills, but if fb and camera phones were available when I did, I'd have probably done the same (but also arranged various items of litter on their drunken form) - 'tis all their own fault Grin

WorraLiberty · 23/12/2011 00:25

Ziggers you so would have shaved a few eyebrows off and youtubed them wouldn't you? Xmas Grin

JollyJinglyJoo · 23/12/2011 00:27

God, I saw an awful one on my friend's fb the other week, of some very very drunk lassie standing legs akimbo on the dancefloor while some bloke had his had ferreted up in her nether regions. It did get deleted, but how many people saw that poor girl in that position. It was too "ick" to even laugh Sad

JollyJinglyJoo · 23/12/2011 00:28

for had read hand!

WorraLiberty · 23/12/2011 00:32

It is a bit out of control really

I saw someone on FB post a pic of a woman sat opposite him in Starbucks once, because she had a micro mini on and her knickers were showing.

Poor woman would have had no idea she was on the internet and everyone was commenting on her as she drank her coffee Sad

AgentZigzag · 23/12/2011 00:35

I might have made encouraging noises worra, then ignored my hypocrisy and remonstrated with the offenders Grin

The people I used to go down the pub with justified their actions by saying if you're stupid enough to get into that state then you deserve to have 'things' done to you.

Although dying because people haven't noticed isn't one of those things, but when you're pissed yourself you're not always in a rational state.

WorraLiberty · 23/12/2011 00:37

I'm never in a rational state whilst sober Xmas Grin

KickArseQueen · 23/12/2011 00:54

Ah, Now arranging amusing items on the aforementioned person ( and if it was someone you knew!) would have made it completely reasonable!

Spermysextowel · 23/12/2011 01:00

I would've remonstrated with offenders; tried to help the incapacitated; fallen on top of them and added to their ills.

AgentZigzag · 23/12/2011 01:00

What about assorted items of furniture KA?

AgentZigzag · 23/12/2011 01:04

You should have posted earlier on in the day if you wanted a bit of fb/catsbum mouth outrage at the drunks and their outlandish behaviour, OP?

Ask posters who've maybe had a couple and you're not going to generate a lot of froth.

whethergirl · 23/12/2011 01:10

Your friend is BU for not drawing a moustache in permanant black marker on them first.
