a wee bit of tooth has just broken through my 8mo baby, I knew he was teething but this has been the first sighting of teeth. It doesn't look very straight, AIBU to worry that the rest of this tooth and others will come through wonky???

if it's only just broken through there is no way to tell if it's wonky or straight.

a lot of the time a little corner pokes through first, totally normal and no sign at all that the teeth will be crooked :)

thanks Im sure I could be worrying about something far more important!

Agree with yesterday.

I realise it's slightly different, but DS lost his first tooth about a month ago. I was worried about his second tooth coming through wonky but it has straightened as it's grown.

Don't forget to update his baby record book if he's got one, I'm useless at remembering.

My DDs firsdt teeth cut through the gums at a very wonky angle but they straightened out as they grew in. How exciting though...a tooth for Christmas!

haha just in time for his Christmas dinner! Thanks for the replies - Merry Christmas!

Don't worry they do move as they come down (and as the neighbouring teeth come down )

Another "don't worry" here- my dd2's teeth came in at all sorts of odd angles, in fact her canines came in first, making her look like some sort of mini-vampire Shock She looks fine now! (although actually, she does have an obsession with blood and the drinking of it...)

Nothing to worry about.
