to "re-gift" a present to my boss?

My boss is lovely, a good friend.

However, I have, in a very forgetful moment completely forgotten to buy her a Christmas gift. Its my first year in this job, and I want to say thank you to her as she has been very supportive throughout the year.

I gave my two main colleagues their (homemade, can't rustle up another overnight) presents today, and then realised I had forgotten my boss.

WIBU to "re-gift" (sorry for the Americanism) a Molton Brown salt scrub which was given to me this week by a good friend - nothing to do with work so boss wouldn't find out? Its a lovely gift, but I already have two nice tubs of salt scrub and hardly use the stuff anyway.

I could easily chuck it in a gift bag tonight and give it to her tomorrow.

AIBU and mean?

Nope. What's the problem? MB stuff is very nice, and I'd be chuffed to get it.

YANBU to re-gift.
YABU to have forgotten someone that you call a good friend!

I know I know! Blame Christmas stress and being poorly organised Sad

I would do it if there is no chance of her finding out. I know that a present for DD from a relative of DH's is something she already has (noisy toy that was not switched off before wrapping and goes off randomly) and I am already thinking of regifting it to a friends DD who has a birthday soon.
