AIBU to wonder what is the most you will spend on a decent bottle of wine to have with the goose, turkey, partridge, baked beans on toast etc?

Sainsbury's do some great offers on great wines, I like anything Sauv Blanc from Marlborough Bay in NZ, and at the moment my favourite is on offer for £5.99. Their Taste the Differance Verdicchio is stunning and around £5. I would never spend over six quid tbh, there's no need. Their Rioja is on a great deal for a case at present and is lovely.

Champers? Well being a Cava girl I'd rather have 4 bottles of cava than one of Champers! Although at Christmas I do buy a bottle to take to my parent's house, I rarely spend over £25.

I wouldn't buy Lambrini or basics alcohol for Christmas but I wouldn't be spending over the odds for a certain wine that you can buy cheaper for a better wine.

Bottle of Blossom Hill - £5 from local shop. Can you tell I'm not a wine Connisewer?

WorraLiberty · 22/12/2011 10:48

I only like one type of wine and that's Liebfraumilch

It's only £6 for a large bottle

Wolf blass yellow label red (think it's cab sav) usually 9.99, currently 6.99. I bought 12 bottles.

£1.99 for a large bottle of Lambrini, if wine was what I had to have and there was nothing else in the world including cold vomit and piss I don't like wine Xmas Grin

Oooh I love Wolf Blass yellow as well. I only get it if its on offer though. My max is a tenner.

Schloer is £1 per bottle at Sainsburys. So the most I will spend is £2. Grin
