Stayed up quite late with the DCs (teenagers) and had an amazingly funny chat. Nice for us all.

Thought I'd have a mooch on MN.

Tortington · 22/12/2011 00:50

i'm here to tell you that i am not a spelling pedant and indeed, my grammar leaves a lot to be desired.

but people who use text spelling of three letter words need to have a word with Jesus

IHeartKingThistle · 22/12/2011 00:53

I'm wondering what I did so wrong that karma has hit us with a tummy bug at Christmas for the second time. I'm nice!

t0lk13n · 22/12/2011 00:55

I had to pick up one son from a party and have to pick another son from football match but it is a long way from Everton to South Wales so I am still waiting for the text to say he is almost home!

lljkk · 22/12/2011 00:57

My 12yo is starting to be terrific company, I suddenly get why people can talk about what fun crazy fascinating bizarre creatures their teenagers can be.

I cannot sleep.
I think that I have insomnia brought on by a single glass of wine at 5pm. This has happened the last few times I had any wine & I feel a wee bit miffed about it.
Am looking up all the ways alcohol may cause insomnia, I really can't tell which biochemical mechanism it is, but one of them has kicked in for me & may never go away. It feels like I drank a big cup of tea at 9pm ... but I didn't. No caffeine since this morning. I'm not worrying about anything. My mind is just jolt awake & has been for about 3 hours. I have a feeling this is going to be permanent & I can never drink booze again. Grrrrr!

lljkk · 22/12/2011 00:57

Ooh, we had a tummy bug last Xmas. Took over 3 weeks to slowly mooch around the whole family (all 6 of us). Gawdawful.

YuleingFanjo · 22/12/2011 00:58

I am waiting for my son's first birthday cake to cook, he's one tomorrow.

knockneedandknackered1 · 22/12/2011 00:59

Happy birthday Yule`s son!

BellaBells · 22/12/2011 01:00

Reminiscing on the past year, mostly the downs. Why do we always think about the downs rather then the ups? Well actually I'm also thinking how proud I am of my premmie DS who's doing so well... But then back to the downs of what a horrific time it was. Far too emotional so thought I'd see if I could find a giggle on MN

TuftyFinch · 22/12/2011 01:00

Custard. This talking to Jesus thing. How does it work? Can I use my hand held portable telecommunications equipment? Grin

theincredibequeenofwands · 22/12/2011 01:00

I may have overdosed on Beechams.........!

Never been more awake in my life!!!

LineRunnerCrouchingReindeer · 22/12/2011 01:01

lljkk I have to read for at least 30 minues before I fall asleep, but it does work. Especially if it's trash. It kind of empties the mind, and sends it to sleep.

My DD doesn't get how I can read 'murder thrillers' at night, but that's what they do to me .... Patricia Cornwell ... zzzzz.

CowboysGal · 22/12/2011 01:01

I'm wondering whether to get in bed next to DH who is in my bad books tonight so I'm up for last minute xmas shopping in the morning or if a better idea is to have Brew or Wine and stay up late meaning a sluggish day tomorrow and last minute shopping on xmas eve

maristella · 22/12/2011 01:01

I m celebrating the end of a very challenging week , and the end of my working year Grin

lljkk teenagers are amazing, a revelation that teenary could be without harm if you felt it bad and play it right :)

t0lk13n · 22/12/2011 01:02
