To wish I didn't always feel guilty!

Grrrr. I've had half a bottle of wine and a mince pie and I feel so incredibly guilty This follows on from last night when I had a fish supper.

I've spent the last year and a bit steadily losing weight and I'm a size 14 now which was always my "goal" I should be delighted but I'm not! Every time I have a treat I feel huuuuge guilt. I make dam sure I stick to a healthy strict diet during the week so that I can treat myself at the weekends...but it's always the same and I feel bad when I do instead of enjoying it!

AIBU to wish I could just have the odd weekend treat and not feel ashamed?!

It is a bit odd, yes. It sounds like you have some emotional issues around food still.

Well done on the weight loss!
You shouldn't feel guilty, everyone needs a treat now and then, and if it's not causing you to gain, then you shouldn't worry.
If it is a real problem for you, maybe talk to someone about your food issues, it's hard to change a thinking habit IYSWIM.

You have done really well so far, and now you are maintaining, not trying to lose, so you can have a few glasses of wine, and a couple of mince pies.. and you wont pile it all back on.

Look at all the women who go out drinking every week, they are not all 20 stone.. it is all about moderation, and one night a week of wine and cake is not going to undo all the good work you have done.. I promise you.
