To disown my family?

My sister sent me a Christmas card with less glitter than last year. I'm appalled. I even made a point of putting extra on hers. My sister in lay sent me a card with only 6 kisses on. I put 10 on theirs. Now there's two of them so by rights if they loved me as much there should have been 20. If you only knew some of the other things that have been done by these terrible people.........

Firstly, you need to destroy her Christmas card. Build a huge bonfire, dance around it and consign the devisstating and heart-breaking abomination to the flames But make sure you make a video of the ceremony and post it to YouTube and all her friends on Facebook. She won't make the mistake of sending you another piss-poor excuse for a Seasonal Greeting, that's for sure!

YANBU. My DH's family who are prefectly nice actually want to come to our house at xmas! MIL thinks it would be 'nice' to see her granchildren. Cow.

I couldn't visit my best friend last week to exchange gifts due to the bad weather. My lovely in laws (who live in the same city) have picked up my BF's pressies and will deliver my pressies for her and her children next weekend to save me having to fit in a 100 mile round trip the week before Christmas. How very dare they! They will also have bought lots of lovely, thoughtful gifts for my children!!!

My own parents are no better, they will host Christmas dinner for my whole family AND invite my in laws who would otherwise be alone just so that my children can spend the day with both sets of GPs and the cousins. If that weren't unreasonable enough in addition to Xmas pressies my parents are taking my family and my sisters family to the panto on Boxing day!!! Will the maddness never end!
