I'm on the pill, meant to have my last one tomorrow. Suddenly realised tonight that means I'll be on my period christmas day. Got boyfriend staying, don't want period christmas day. Is it ok to start my next pack without my period?

Assuming you are on the combined pill its fine to just carry on the next pack and you shouldn't see a period. Its standard advice.

I took 12 packs back to back a few years ago I'd forgotten just how bloody horrible periods were by the time I got one (excuse the terrible pun)

Yep. Not an issue. Many female athletes are on it 31/30 ../12.
