When im back in mine i fully intend to text my entire phone book to let them know

itsbrandybutterandtinseltime · 12/12/2011 08:35

I mean, there's a bit of muffin top-ness on the sides but only when I slouch. I mean, fuck me they went on without a hitch and that's a start! Last time I put them on I couldn't even get my chunky shins in there!

I am now honestly a total believer in that with reasonable eating (not dieting) the weight eventually comes off on its own when it's good and ready.

Snowboarder · 12/12/2011 08:50

Well done Brandy Butter, that's great news indeed and definitely something to be proud of! I just fitted into my Topshop size 10's yesterday for the first time in about a year and my DS is now 9 month old. I didn't even fit into them BEFORE I was pregnant - I blame the IVF drugs which made me feel like I was carrying around 2 bumper bunches of grapes where my ovaries should be!

The only thing is that we have just found out that I am pregnant again (a 'natural' surprise, wahoooo!!) so I'm sure the window of opportunity for wearing said jeans isn't going to be very big. Trying to make the most of it before my tummy-pouch jeans make a reappearance Xmas Grin

itsbrandybutterandtinseltime · 12/12/2011 08:55

My dog, my DS is 14 months old! I crossed it out in my OP! I am a naturally lazy person! That weight will come off when it's good and ready. Don't think there's much point in pressuring yourself if your body will do it for you. Baby weight is much harder to lose, I think.

snowboarder squeeeeeee! How exciting for you! What a lovely thing to happen for you after IVF! X

Don't be a misery kttyfane haveyou never celebrated a body success? Congrats OP!

WhoopsyLa · 12/12/2011 08:59

Oh congratulations snowboarder !!!! Xmas Grin A lovely Christmas present if ever there was one! DC number 2!!

MarinaAzul · 12/12/2011 09:08

Good for you .
My baby was 18 months when I lost the weight. But I didn't really try because I was too focused on the baby.
There is a worrying amount of pressure on women to lose the baby weight too soon. You may upset other new mothers you are not feeling great about their post pregnancy bodies ,so please be sensitive.
Really happy foe you snow.

HecateGoddessOfTwelfthNight · 12/12/2011 09:09

phone him at the office? You should take out a 2 page spread in the guardian Grin

Well done!

AntsMarching · 12/12/2011 09:19

I'd take a picture and send it out with all my Christmas cards! People need to know! Well done Xmas Smile

Snowboarder · 12/12/2011 09:54

Thanks so much BB and Whoopsy - I am still in shock but totally and utterly over the moon! I have had cervical cancer too so there was a point in the recent past that we very much doubted we'd have one baby so two (fingers crossed!) feels just like a miracle. Another pregnant Christmas though... Xmas Wink

I think the 9 month on, (roughly) 9 month off rule applies to post pregnancy weightloss. I have tried to eat as healthily as I could after DS was born and breastfed, got out lots with the pram etc but the weight simply has not wanted to budge until now. Very strange!

KittyFane · 12/12/2011 16:36

whoopsy- Don't be a misery kttyfane haveyou never celebrated a body success? Congrats OP!
I know, but phoning him at work?! Hmm again!

:o

flatmouse · 12/12/2011 16:44

My DS is 137 months old and my DD is 100 months old .... when will mine come off?? (do i really have to eat sensibly? and not drink loads? and maybe exercise?) Well done :) One day i'll post on here and say i've done it! (not that i have any pre-pregnancy skinny jeans!

KatieScarlett2833 · 12/12/2011 16:46

Facebook it

(you know you want to....)

Did you do the "check me out" dance?

SuePurblybiltbyElves · 12/12/2011 16:47

My DD is five Grin

Ah well.

itsbrandybutterandtinseltime · 12/12/2011 16:49

Ah snow see I didn't bf, so I just sat on the sofa eating cake and not burning it off Xmas Grin

I was soooo smug when I was pregnant, going to the gym every day, bought davina's exercise DVD for after the birth, was determined I would be slimmer than pre pregnancy before DS was 3 months old.... Yeah, that never happened Xmas Blush

It's taken me 14 months post birth to lose the majority of it... And I still have a little bit to go!

But still. Wearing my skinny jeans!
