is this a stupid gift for a friend TTC?

Said friend enjoys a glass (bottle!) or two and spends most weekends on the pop with her DH.

I know they are TTC but quite chilled out and are just hoping for it to happen ... not going down the lifestyle change route just yet.

I know she'd love a wine tasting session with her DH ... but if she gets pregnant soon it's a bit pointless.

What do you think?

Don't you spit it out when wine tasting?

WorraLiberty · 10/12/2011 14:21

Yeah I would avoid it to be honest

MollyTheMole · 10/12/2011 14:22

Go for it, can you get them with a long expiry date on just incase the bun does get in the oven?? Then they can use it after as they will need it Xmas Grin

WorraLiberty · 10/12/2011 14:23

I went to one of those years ago and there wasn't much spitting going on Grin

Plus, everyone was given a couple of glasses of wine at the end and a bottle to take home.

There was also a selection of cheeses etc...so another possible problem if pregnant.

If she's talking about TTC with any real intent, then it's probably not the best gift, TBH.

uggmum · 10/12/2011 15:00

On the flip side. I have been ttc for 4 years with no success and could really do with a glass or 2 of wine!

FunnysInTheGarden · 10/12/2011 15:03

it's a lovely gift, and as ugg says, it can take an awfully long time to conceive...............I'd go for it

wildfig · 10/12/2011 16:04

Is it just the one night? I don't think it's going to make that much difference if it is. Sounds like a lovely present - and who knows where it might lead? Xmas Wink
