To think this is just not acceptable on a crowded bus?

I sat at the back of the bus this afternoon on my way home from work, at the back, they have 2 seats either side that face backwards, a woman got on the stop after mine with a few bags and sat opposite me to the right, took her shoes off, and put her feet up on the seat next to me.

Now AIBU to of said " umm, someone has to sit there after you have left, to be honest its a bit scummy."

I just can't believe that a grown adult would do that on a crowded after work bus.
People couldn't sit down because she had her feet up and her shopping on the next seat, what is wrong with people?!

Oh and yes they were stinky [boak]

She took her shoes off and presumably whoever sat there next will not be bare-arsed, so whats the problem?

WhoIsThatMaskedWoman · 08/12/2011 19:12

Better shoes off than on ....maybe ....eurgh.

Crosshair · 08/12/2011 19:14

I think its abit rude when people put there feet up on bus seats wether its busy or not.

Daughteroflilith · 08/12/2011 19:16

Disgusting!! And to take up three seats!!

OTTMummA · 08/12/2011 19:16

she didn't say anything, just looked at a man across from her, who then turned to me and said, well shes got her shoes off, lol, i really don't see why that makes a difference.
Feet with shoes or without shouldn't be put on public transport seating.
I don't let my son do it, and have never found anyone to think its acceptable.

And NVX, what about her taking up 2 extra seats, one for her feet and her shopping, when people were standing up waiting until someone else got off to sit down.
They obviously didn't want to sit on her foot stool.

There are signs on the buses that say not feet on seats anyway, but i found it boak worthy.

She took up two seats in the cinema, with legs stretched out and shoes off and sucking thumb too.

Pantofino · 08/12/2011 19:22

OTTMummA · 08/12/2011 19:24

I had to do emergency I-Spy with dd to stop her looking in that direction!

Pantofino · 08/12/2011 19:37

To my shame I was so shocked I didn't know what to do to start with! Oh look dd, I can see something "out the window" that starts with b.....whilst I was surrepticiously looking over to see if he WAS doing what I though he was doing....without properly looking iyswim.....Dirty fecker! Then I pressed the red button.

LaurieFairyCake · 08/12/2011 19:38

I saw a guy wanking to Knight and Day in the cinema.

Unsure if it was Cruise or Diaz that caught his eye.

I reported him before he jizzed in his popcorn.

yellowraincoat · 08/12/2011 19:40

My partner interfered with me in a cinema once.

We were watching Sin City.

OTTMummA · 08/12/2011 19:42

Going to the cinema in the past I have paid for 2 seats on the aisle because of bad claustrophobia.
I don't see a problem putting coats/bags onto the seat next to you anywere so long as you move them if someone needs to sit down etc.
But feet! EURGH! Sorry that is just vile.

This happens on the train all the time with shoes on. There is a fine of £15 but nobody ever around to stop it.
I pay £8 for cinema as well and don't want somebody's feet on the back of my chair or see anyone's feet either.
