To think Aviva are shockingly incompetent?

We have two endowments, which after various takeovers have ended up with Aviva.

Value at end of August: c£65,600
Value yesterday: c£48,000

Loss of value over a three month period: nearly £18k, or 27%. Twenty-seven percent ! Shock Xmas Shock

Now I don't follow the financial markets, but I do know that the FTSE has not lost 27% over the past 3 months; nor have property prices gone down by 27% over the past 3 months.

So what the fuck do they think they're doing???? With our money????

What do you reckon - do you think someone at Aviva has been sacked for gross incompetence? Hmmm? Or do you think they will all be getting their cosy salaries and bonuses as usual?

If you were asking for removal purposes, might that be with an deduction for ending them early, and was that quote of £48k for both definitely?

Aviva are shit at everything including managing car insurance (which is what I have personal experience of). Yanbu

scaryteacher This is a straight comparison of redemption values, no penalties etc, and definitely both added together.

Damn, I was hoping this would go viral like the old "British Gas smell of poo" thread in Classics (which, incidentally, was genius). Actually, thinking about it, my thread is not worthy of being mentioned in the same post. Still. Bump.
