My DS was taken to hospital last night, He has croup which set his asthma off, Was discharged this morning.

We are dossing on the sofa in our pj's and I'm looking round the house thinking I need to stick some washing on and sweep up, However, I really can't be arsed to move. DH just called said leave it and chill and he'll do it when he gets home from work. WHY OH WHY do I feel guilty?

We are also currently eating out way through the tub of Celebrations that were supposed to be for xmas!!!

These celebrations just keep jumping in our mouths!

YANBU enjoy a lovely lazy day with your DS. I often enjoy them without any kids in sight.

Hope he feels better soon, croup is horrible.

Yanbu!

Applemartini · 07/12/2011 11:55

Yanbu. Enjoy it, you must both be knackered. Your DH sounds very nice as well.

Imnotaslimjim · 07/12/2011 11:57

YANBU at all, enjoy your day of rest, both of you!! I wish my DH would say "leave it I'll do it later" he just says "leave it for tomorrow!" then I feel it has to be done so its not added to tomorrows jobs!

Personally I'd feel better to do a bit of housework (sticking a load of washing on isn't exactly hard work, I'm not talking about a big clean) and guilty if I left it all for my partner to do after he'd been working. But if you've had a tough night and are knackered then you're not being unreasonable to take it easy today.

MrsSleepy · 07/12/2011 12:06

I gave in and stuck the washing in and washed the breakfast stuff.

DH is lovely, He was up with DD most of the night and gone to work today and doing dinner tonight, Hence me feeling guilty about sitting on my arse all day!

Oh no - don't feel guilty. One day when I was 12ish my mum and I spent most of the day lying around scoffing most of a huge tin of roses. Not her or my usual style and we felt a bit guilty (and sick) but I still cherish the memory of it.
