That is

I Am Fucking Invisible?

Sat here watching TV and MNing between doing something on ebay for us, he is crap at ebay so I do all that stuff. RRather than ask me if I minded, he turned the TV over in the middle of something I am watching to put on somethng from Sky+ that he knows I hate. When I said "I was watching that" he first said "Well I want to watch this" when I said that it was rude of him to do that without even asking me if I minded, he had a strop gave me the remote and said "watch what you fucking like then"

Hello?!!! All I asked for was consideration. I wouldnt turn over in the middle of a program without asking if he minded, so why cant he do the same for me? TV is a huge issue, he has it on all the bloody time and half the time he claims he is watching something, he is also watching something on his Archos at the same time, but god forbid that I turn over!

Sick of him being so selfish with the TV, and me feeling that because I am not wedded to it, my opinion doesnt count.

Bogeyface · 06/12/2011 21:47

Backtobedlam · 06/12/2011 21:48

Maybe he thought as you were on the computer you weren't really watching it? Id obv.still ask if it was ok, but I wouldn't expect to sit and watch something I wasn't interested in while dp was on his computer.

Bogeyface · 06/12/2011 21:50

He knew I wasnt, I mentioned that I was watching it because I missed it the first time it was on. He does this alot, even if we are both staring at the TV he will just pick up the remote and turn over without a word. Its really rude.

OP posts:
HecateGoddessOfTwelfthNight · 06/12/2011 22:29

It is very rude.

Take the batteries out of the remote.

That'll teach 'im

tethersjinglebellend · 06/12/2011 22:32

You know what I hate?

When someone turns the TV over without asking whilst I'm watching it.

I wish someone would start a thread about it.

Ah well.

Bogeyface · 06/12/2011 23:25

You know what I hate?

Pass-Agg bullshit. If this has been done, then I am happy to be told and re-directed!

OP posts:
Bogeyface · 06/12/2011 23:26

Actually Hec it would learn 'im, because is the sad sack that would sit and watch the "selected pages from Ceefax" or similar rather than get off his fat arse and walk the 6 steps to the Sky box :o

DH does this All. The. Time. I have given up, and watch so little TV now that it's hardly worth me having one. It seems that now, if I want to watch something, I have to pre-book it. And there is very little on that makes me want to go to that extreme.

Having said that, TV is currently not working (satellite problems- had a thread on here) so DH is at a loss, and has taken to going to bed at 9.30pm. He has, however, "solved" it by phoning Sky up to cancel and mysteriously somehow been persuaded to take a new upgraded package with HD and Sky Plus. We don't have an HD tv. Guess what he is angling for now Hmm Yes, I can see why Deadliest Catch, Pawn Stars and all the crap you watch all the educational stuff you watch really needs to be in HD to be appreciated Hmm And I am meant to be happy as he got a "good deal"! Aargh! Still, at least the Sky Plus part might mean I occasionally get to see something without having to make an appointment!

tethersjinglebellend · 06/12/2011 23:36

You know the other thing I hate?

When you make a light hearted joke about the OP being invisible as per her thread title and she completely misunderstands it and retorts by being quite nasty.

Ah well.

Bogeyface · 06/12/2011 23:37

I apologise tethers.

I have been on the recieving end of "Oh, a thread about X, no one EVER does that....." before, so I assumed that this was the same.

I am sorry, I mean that unreservedly.

Friends....?

OP posts:
squeakytoy · 06/12/2011 23:39

You know what I hate...

when people dont bother to put smileys into their posts to indicate if they are joking or not... it makes a world of difference to how someone reads a post..

:)

LineRunnerCrouchingReindeer · 06/12/2011 23:40

Yes, you must be friends. I have never seen a thread go so tits up soon for no real reason.

Xmas Smile
squeakytoy · 06/12/2011 23:40

And you have made friends, so let you both off Grin

Bogeyface · 06/12/2011 23:40

I hate to have to tell you this Jolly but Sky+ makes it all that bit worse.

Not only is the hard drive 70% full with 90% of that 70% being his stuff and the other 10% being the kids stuff, when there really isnt anything on, he will watch some recorded stuff. And alot of the time it will be on there for months and when I go to delete it he gets stroppy because "I want to watch that but I never have the time"

I am sorry to tell you this, but thats how its gonna be....:(

OP posts:
LineRunnerCrouchingReindeer · 06/12/2011 23:40

Put the fucking xmas hat on the smiley.

tethersjinglebellend · 06/12/2011 23:41

Ah, I'd never be that obvious.

I prefer my wit to be so highbrow that no-one ever gets it and I end up looking like a massive wanker Wink

Bogeyface · 06/12/2011 23:43

I aspire to your level of highbrow wit Tethers, I am pretty much at knob-gag level :o

OP posts:
tethersjinglebellend · 06/12/2011 23:44

Oh don't be sorry.

I need to make better jokes Grin

tethersjinglebellend · 06/12/2011 23:44

at 'knob gag' Grin

HighHeidYin · 06/12/2011 23:47

I hate Sky+. The programmes I want to record only partially record due to a mysterious 'power failure'.

On the other hand, dh's crap programmes (Border Patrol/Bounty Hunters etc!) miraculously record in full. What's all that about then?

Bogeyface · 06/12/2011 23:49
Xmas Grin

A girl is walking in the woods one day, thinking what a wonderful day it was and how the sky looked wonderfully blue. She was humming softly to herself, as she wound her way around the twisting and turning path through the trees and undergrowth when suddenly among the shrubbery she saw a little elf sitting on a giant toadstool with his head between his knees. She strolled nervously up to him not wanting to disturb him.

"Excuse me," she said gently "are you a Goblin?"

"No," he replied, "I've just got a headache..."
