I've seen Elvis at my local arena. Even though he died before I was born Grin

Their was a big screen with him on, and playing live were his original band and his backup singers (can't remember their names)

It was pretty fab actually, except the footige was him performing near the end of his career, lots of him spinning around and getting a bit lost on stage which was a bit sad.

VFVF · 03/12/2011 17:17

The Sweet Inspirations, that was their name!

Ginger Go and see it, it is fantastic!!

I saw it in Glasgow last year or the year before (cant remember now Blush), honestly if you are a fan you will love it and even if your not a fan it's still a fantastic night.

If you can get the 25th Anniversary Conert on DVD that will show what to expect (it's fantastic)

BTW did you know that when Elvis died his girlfriend at the time was called Ginger (Alden) Smile

MitziKinsky · 03/12/2011 18:44

I'm not convinced Elvis is dead.

TuftyFinch · 03/12/2011 18:45

I saw Elvis in a fancy chinese restaurant on the Old Kent Road once. He wasn't great.

MitziKinsky · 03/12/2011 18:48

The trouble is when you see Elvis, you are never sure if it's the real one or not. A bit like Father Christmas (although some are obvious impersonators). Like the one at our local garden centre. (Father Christmas, not Elvis)

TuftyFinch · 03/12/2011 19:13

Your Father Christmas wouldn't be the real one, no. He's at my local shop this year.

LineRunnerCranberrySauce · 03/12/2011 19:23

He's not dead, he's resting on the moon.

GingerWrath · 03/12/2011 19:33

I want to go! I was 5 when he died and I was distraught, my Mum wouldn't let my Dad take me to one of his last gigs in South Dakota.

I am a not so closet fan.

GingerWrath · 03/12/2011 20:23

Could I have a link please? I can't find it but I really want to go!
