AIBU for sharing this? It has totally ruined my day reading this as im gonna keep thinking about the poor baby. Also AIBU for thinking that any jail time that these two are going to get just wont seem punishment enough. And yes, i read the DM, get over it.

They won't get the justice they deserve - I agree with you there.

I think they should also both be sterilised, so they can't have anymore children, I feel this more strongly since my much loved, and wanted baby, died a month ago, and these sickos will be allowed to reproduce after their (probable) pitiful sentence is complete

I'm not one to cry over stories in the news normally - but I started bawling when I read that story. Probably because I have a little baby boy myself and the thought of such a tiny, vulnerable baby having that done to him. There are no words

You'd think this was an absolutely unique incident as surely no-one could even imagine doing this to a new baby. But I Googled to see if I could find more details on who took him to hospital etc, and got back pages of stories on similar attacks on babies under 6 months old.

Castration for him, without anaesthetic followed by lifetime of hard labour in a no frills jail with a weekly beating up for good measure, and more or less the same for her. I dont care if that is unreasonable, that would be a fitting punishment imo.

but even if they were, surely they'd not want that for the baby, having the knowledge of how deeply damaging abuse is? IMO using that as a defence is worse, since they really should have known better.

I am not going to read it as I can imagine how heartbreaking it is...my sil has just been told she is having her third miscarriage in 18 months and also that her chances of ever holding onto a baby are so slim virtually nil...what she would give to of had that poor baby omg I am so angry why do nasty evil scum get to have a precious gift like a baby and hurt it WHY???Hang the b*stards but let them suffer first.

When my DP walked in from work, it was the first thing he talked about. How can anyone even hit a baby, let alone commit any of the other violence the poor child was subjected to? It is beyond the comprehension of any normal human. I hope the poor little thing pulls through.
