This is how DH replies when I ask why xyz hasn't been done . Don't really think he should need to be told.

i assume you mean housework type stuff, men generally don't notice anything that needs doing so you have to spell it out

Yeah, if xyz was wiping his arse I'd be a bit miffed but if it was to notice you're stressed about something and be a bit more sympathetic then you sometimes have to spell it out.

"You only have to ask" over some task he's agreed to do regularly (ie, wash the seive, because I can't and he says it's easy).

So I shouldn't have to ask because he's said he will always do it and it's sitting there waiting to be done and he can see it ....
