Went to DB for weekend took duvets and pillows as requested.

Coming home one of their kids pillows must have got scooped up with ours by mistake.

SIL wants me to post it back.

My initial response is: that seems crazy, surely you have a spare, or can buy a new one and keep this as spare when you get it back when you see us next.

Don't want to start WW2 though. SIL and I have form.

Should I just send it or is this a crazy request and will cost loads??

Am I beiiiing unreasonable?

now, see, in normal, reasonable, sane, life i would say tell her to bog off and SIBU.

However.......

If that was DDs pillow she would go insane and life would be hideous and unbearable until she got it back.

ballstoit · 30/11/2011 20:03

She has managed without the pillow for 2 weeks? And now needs to posting back? She is a loon.

Tell your DBro that you won't be sending it...and then buy each and every member of the family a new pillow for christmas Grin

Id want my pillows back becuase they are expensive and duck down filled.

MordechaiVanunu · 30/11/2011 20:07

Carol, if a child was distressed and needed it I'd fed ex it there.

Hell I'd drive it there in the middle of the night.

Nephew not had it for over a week before itbwas mentioned though so don't think it's that.

Surely it came with a different pillow case.

If it were one of my feather ones with the fancy-pants cover, I'd ask for it back too.

Soz.

MordechaiVanunu · 30/11/2011 23:36

I'll give it back. This is not some complicated evil plan to acquire her pillows by stealth.

Once Ive located it. It must have been in a white pillow case as all ours are.

I just don't won't to post it back.

Posting a pillow just seems silly somehow.

And I can't be arsed.

Unless a child desperately needs it, I don't see any justification for a pillow based emergency that would require my time and expense to post a pillow.

I'm sure they can manage, or buy another one, until it can be handed back in a few months.
