My DD started nursery (and she loves it) which is fab. I've been a bit emotional (not all the time, just choke back the odd tear) but was crying during "Doctors" today as a mother had depression and tried to kill herself.

I don't usually get so upset. What's going on!?

Probably stress or fatigue. Not the kind of stress that leaves you pole-axed and shaking. The kind that runs just below the surface, enabling you to function normally 99% of the time but bubbles over for something very trivial (like sad daytime dramas). Would prescribe you a few good nights' sleep this weekend, a walk in the fresh air, a few laughs etc...

Pregnant?

AgentZigzag · 25/11/2011 14:27

It's the end of that phase of both your lives, watching her go out and enjoy doing stuff on her own can get to you.

Maybe linked to loss with the suicide?

It's much easier when they're a bit more independent though, they can get a brew on while you MN Smile

knockkneedandknackered · 25/11/2011 14:31

pmt maybe

FantasticVoyage · 25/11/2011 14:33

"Doctors" makes me cry too.

Although that might be something to do with the quality of the acting.

lukewarmmama · 25/11/2011 14:39

Is it because you don't usually watch it on your own? So you can have a good ole weep without worrying what anyone else in the room thinks? I normally have Thursdays to myself, and Helicopter Heroes does it for me every time!

Angel786 · 25/11/2011 14:48

Luke so true - I never cry openly (a secret weeper!) so you might be onto something

Knocked + Mrssleepy - think it could also be pmt combined with some insomnia as cogito suggests a good night's sleep should help

Fantastic Laughed out loud - the acting is pretty hideous - and I don't usually watch it as normally am feeding DD lunch but she was napping today

Agent yes - think it is a little about new beginnings and am pleased she loves it as I'll be back at work so will MN from my desk Wink
